STAVANGER+ COMPACT receives award

The STAVANGER+ COMPACT rescue backpack received the Red Dot, which the renowned jury only awards to products with an outstanding design.

STAVANGER+ COMPACT - a synonym for design and quality

The STAVANGER was developed as an ideal alternative to the aluminium case and has since convinced the most stubborn advocates. The emergency backpack impresses on the outside with its robustness similar to a suitcase and on the inside with a clearly structured arrangement of the different modules with magnetic system. 

Creative quality unites excellent products

"I would like to congratulate the winners on their great success. The fact that their products were able to withstand the strict judgement of the jury testifies to their excellent design quality. The winners are thus setting decisive trends in the design industry and showing where we can go in the future," says Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of Red Dot, about the winners.

Experience and expertise to the point
The Red Dot Award: Product Design is one of the largest design competitions worldwide. In 2019, designers and manufacturers from 55 nations submitted more than 5,500 products for the award. The international jury, consisting of experienced experts from various disciplines, has been gathering for more than 60 years to identify the best designs. During an evaluation process lasting several days, they try out the products, discuss them and ultimately make a well-founded judgement on the design quality of the entries. True to the motto "In search of good design and innovation", the evaluation focuses on criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, formal quality, durability and ergonomics.

Success is celebrated at the award ceremony

On 8 July 2019 Fleischhacker celebrates its success during the award ceremony. The Red Dot Gala brings together the international design scene in Essen's Aalto Theatre. At the subsequent "Designers' Night" party, the winners of the Red Dot will receive their certificates and the STAVANGER+ COMPACT will move into the "Design on Stage" exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum Essen, which presents all the award-winning products. From this day on, the STAVANGER+ COMPACT will also be shown in the Red Dot Design Yearbook, online and in the Red Dot Design App.
