MediConnect® is a modern, flexible, future-proof system that organizes processes for planning, presenting, communicating, and archiving patient data. This standardization provides work flows with efficiency and simplicity. The programming architecture of MediConnect® is based on the Microsoft .NET Framework© in combination with the Microsoft SQL Server©. This unique combination allows you to access data whenever you need it and on many different devices. You can select your installation, whether for individual mobile workstations, complex client/server environments with several thousand screen workstations, a web application, or a telemedical integration solution.
MediConnect® supports data exchange via HL7, GDT (1.1, 2.0 and 2.1), CSV, EDI, and XML. The integrated HL7 server of MediConnect® supports all common message types, including ADT, ORM, and ORU. A wide range of configuration options provides a connection to all practice and clinic systems, enabling communication between different departments and clinics.
Many hospitals use ultrasound, professional measuring systems, and PACS systems from different manufacturers in parallel. Its design makes MediConnect® the ideal platform for image and diagnostics management across products from different companies. The DICOM interfaces provide a connection to other clinic systems, enabling communication between workstations and various departments and/or clinics.
MediConnect® supports the internationally recognized LOINC system, which is used for the unique encryption and naming of laboratory values for data exchange between medical IT systems in integrated forms of care. The laboratory values and findings transferred are displayed in MediConnect®’s own viewer and can be used for integrated reporting and scientific analysis, which also eliminates error-prone manual input.
Integrated materials management
MediConnect® is equipped with a complete materials management module that makes it possible to manage multiple warehouses and connect to a central warehouse. Documenting the consumption of goods for patient case files or surgeries, the materials management system of MediConnect®, also affords you the option to generate automatic re-order proposals, including the option of receipt when recording invoices.
The administrative functions include:

- Delivery note/withdrawal note printing
MediConnect® is designed so efficiently so that all relevant QA sheets of the IQTIG institute are integrated in the respective findings workflow and processed during the procedure (PCI, 09/1–09/6, 10/2, HCH). Data is transmitted to the leading QA system via the MediConnect® QA export tool. When completing the form, relevant fields are already enabled or disabled depending on the entries, which considerably reduces the processing time. When confirming, all further rules and the entries are then checked for plausibility.
